hiii, my name is shaina. i’m an electrical engineer who drafts construction plans for healthcare buildings. i’m also a self-taught artist who loves to draw and paint surrealist illustrations.

as a child, i enjoyed sketching animated characters with charcoal and colored pencils before i learned to use soft pastel for portraiture in high school. then, months after graduating from university, i began to paint abstractions and impressionist animal portraits with oil pastel until i realized my artistic voice and style by experimenting with ink and watercolors.

feng shui is an ancient chinese concept based around energies that harmonize individuals with their surrounding environment, and feng shai art is my artistic interpretation of feng shui with a focus on connections between elements of humankind and the vast nature surrounding us here on earth.
